Demonstration Farm
Rwenzori Organic Coffee (ROC) to establish a 50 Acre organic arabica coffee demonstration farm on the slopes of Rwenzori Mountains where we continue to receive small holder farmers from different regions who come to learn about all the processes of growing organic Arabic coffee and regenerative agriculture.
Community Based Employment
Currently, Rwenzori Organic Coffee (ROC) employs around 200 workers from the community of which 50% are women in a region where historically women were not allowed to work and were expected to stay home. Most of the workers have families they support hence the project directly benefits the wider community.
Financial Data & Coffee Traceability
Rwenzori Organic Coffee (ROC) Financial Data can be traced right from land purchase where the company acquired 50 acres of land in Bukara Village, Kabonero Subcounty, Bunyangabu District in the Rwenzori Mountains to commence the project in July 2018. We have seen then translated that meticulous level of record keeping to coffee traceability where each coffee lot produced can be traced back to the farm.
